Xavier Rudd – Spirit Bird. A song that changes life.

Xavier Rudd – Spirit Bird. A song that changes life.

There are musical compositions that have such power to move our Soul that they can touch you even when you don’t understand the words. And there are also those that, once you learn their lyrics, lose value. In some cases, an image, even one added long after the song’s premiere by someone other than the creator, becomes an equivalent transmitter of power and even displaces the text. One of such compositions in my life is “Spirit Bird” by Xavier Rudd.

Light In The Darkest Hours

I first came across this song in 2021, during the darkest period of my life, when I was struggling with very deep internal transformations, and it was an incredibly painful, almost deadly process. During the first breakthrough from these struggles, in the New Year of 2022, I stumbled upon this piece, which I then played on loop for almost 24/7 for several weeks. The emotions it evoked in me were indescribable. Tears shed while listening to it would have formed a small sea, or at least a lake.
The music and vocals took me to unprecedented heights of aesthetic-spiritual experiences. They helped me to detach myself from the burden that was crushing my heart at that time. They also allowed me to look at the purpose of these transformations with new hope and certainty that everything would be alright. From the beginning, I knew it was for a reason, but the difficulty of it exceeded my expectations.

Lyrics Needs Replacement

As a Polish language expert, I had to delve into the lyrics of this magical piece. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing for me, so I won’t devote any attention to it here because I believe it should be rewritten (yes, it’s on my to-do list :). Such a musical masterpiece deserves a great set of lyrics that will touch hearts just as deeply as the accompanying music.
While listening to it, I insert my own words that currently reside within me.
Xavier Rudd seems to lack a talent for lyrics, as his other great song “Stoney Creek” also mesmerizes with its arrangement and music video, but doesn’t impress with its lyrics. You can watch it here.

The Video That Inspires Astonishment

And here we are today – exactly 2 years since those difficult events and changes, when I am at a new turning point in my life (not as sharp as the previous one), once again (by coincidence) YouTube presents it to me in some playlist. This time with a music video that blows my mind. I haven’t seen such a wonderful clip that plays with the music in a long time. The awe, love, and gratitude that I am lucky enough to watch it takes my breath away. Tears of joy and astonishment fill my eyes at the beauty of this world. And those children’s choirs… perhaps it is their merit, who knows…

Such 4D, I love it.

And suddenly, the whole theoretical discussion with John Veto’s group (which is otherwise interesting, but still theoretical), debating since morning whether this world exists or not, whether we create it or are being monitored – fades away in the dazzling glow of energy flowing from sounds and images. Even if it’s all a hologram, and whether I create it or someone else does – it doesn’t matter to me, because for moments like these, it’s worth living in this 4D! And such a World can be loved. With a love so immense that it no longer fits in the heart and spills out through the eyes…
I recommend this piece in this version here. Xavier Rudd Spirit Bird
